Stay off Social Media for the Summer
You’re on social media and you see your friends having fun. This makes you sad. When you see them either interning in New York City or LA, going to the best places on earth or traveling abroad, this makes you even more angry with the fact that you’re at home with nothing to do and you’re with your family. To tell you the truth, your friends have to pay for those activities with their own money even if they look like they’re having a wonderful time.
This is the time for you to take a break from social media. Here’s how you can do it.
Delete every social media app on your phone
This is the first thing you should do. If you have an iPhone or an Android unlock your phone and look at the home screen. Take a look at all the social media you have on your phone, and delete every social media app one by one.
Stay away from imagination and focus on the reality
This is the time in your life that you need to focus on yourself and learn who you are as a person. Learn from every mistake, every past relationship, and every action you do in your life. Focus on what makes you truly happy and your purpose in the world.
Learn to forgive the enemy and yourself
Sometimes the people we follow on social media may seem to be our friends, but are they really? Consider every friend you have and think if they are a positive or negative influence.
Love yourself before others
We need to embrace and love ourselves to live a healthy lifestyle. If you don’t love yourself, then who else will love you?
Just be a better you
You take so much time looking at the screen and not focusing on how you can improve yourself. Learn to make yourself a better person — maybe change your hairstyle or work out.
